Antanasia Dragomir, renamed Jessica Packwood by her adopted parents, is a down-to-earth farm girl with a talent for mathematics and a resolute disdain for all things supernatural. The last thing she wanted was to find out that her birth parents were vampires, and that her vampire betrothed has come to claim her. Lucius Vladescu is handsome, arrogant, and determined to make her accept her heritage and marry him – or risk reigniting the feud which has been going on between their clans for generations. September 15th, – jessica s guide to dating on the dark side could easily be the beginning of a series i don t know if there will be a sequel or not but it can.
Growing up isHard to do! By BarbarinaSJessica has to grow up in this sequel ifshe is to be a true help in ruling with Lucius. Beth Fantaskey is abeautiful writer and her style keeps adults as much interested asit does the young audience this was intended for. There is growthin the characters. Lucius may keep brooding but he is more open tothings because of Jessica and she in turn realises responsibilitycan not be avoided and to do that well she needs not to tame herwild hero but to harness a little of his darkness and pull itinside herself.
Some reviewers believe the flirty almostantognistic chemistry is gone now that marriage and vampireeternity has reared its ugly head but I see the passion maturingand the lack of graphic gymnastics doesn’t lessen the excitement. He thirsts for her now as much as her blood but more he now acceptshis need for her as his balance. I like my graphic descriptions buthonestly the passion here is no less for not having it all speltout for us.
The secondary romance is interesting and I for onewonder where Ms Fantaskey will go with this. I hope it will notexclude Jess and Lucius as I would like to continue watching themmature.

The highly anticipated sequel to Jessica’s Guide to Dating on the Dark ‘s one thing to find out you’re a vampire princess. It’s a whole other thing to actually.
Antanasia trying to find her place as wife, princess and vampire in the drafty halls of an ancient The snow swirls around her, and she stands with her back to me, her body enveloped in a bright red cloak. Mihaela”s color. The queen who once ruled the Dragomirs looks like a splash of blood against the expanse of white, and yet she is as strong and substantial as the jagged Carpathian rocks that rise out of the lonely Romanian mountain where we always meet. And then Mihaela Dragomir does turn, her face obscured by the cloak.
And in her hands she holds an object, something she presses against her chest the way a nun would cradle a cross. But Mihaela is no humble, pious sister, and that thing. It is no holy relic. Lucius”s stake, which he used to destroy his uncle–and which he”d once nearly used to Thrashing, fighting off something that seemed to press against my chest, I struggled to sit up and opened my eyes to see firelight flickering against stone, and for a second I wasn”t sure where I was.
Gradually, though, my surroundings sank in. I was in Lucius”s home– our home.
But is Jess the crazy one for resisting the sexy Romanian young man who tries to swoon her off the bat? But how long can you push away a vampire without getting bitten? I absolutely loved this book. You get the greatest view of both Jessica and Lucius and why they do what they do. Jess through the general narration and Lucius through the letters he writes to his uncle in Romania.

Successivo Descrizione prodotto Recensione “Jessica evolves nicely with each new shocking revelation, becoming, over the course of the novel, an intriguing and strong protagonist. The romance sizzles, the plot develops ingeniously and suspensefully, and the satire sings. Girls obsessed with vampires and romance will welcome this clever, amusing take on teen vamps in love.
The story is highly entertaining with plenty of action, drama, romance, as well as self-discovery. Jessica is a witty, spunky protagonist with authentic insecurities and inner conflicts.
Jessica is an average farm girl. She shovels out horse stalls, flirts with the cute boy next door and tries to get by as being normal in high school.
Seventeen-year-old Jessica, adopted and raised in Pennsylvania, learns that she is descended from a royal line of Romanian vampires and that she is betrothed to a vampire prince, who poses as a foreign exchange student while courting her. I enjoyed reading this book, but I think I have to agree with Einmyria on the fact that Lucius was a jerk who did not deserve Jessica’s love. She can do SO much better then him. Otherwise I disagree with what Einmyria wrote sorry, Einmyria. I really liked this book.
I found the dialogue between Jessica and Lucius real and at times extremely funny. I also liked how their relationship wasn’t perfect and when you thought it was going to work out, there was another twist. Lucius was a very interesting character.

Spoiler alert! This post will be all about Jessica Rules the Dark Side , which takes place shortly after the events of the novella. After reading both the preceding book and novella, I had super-high hopes for Jessica Rules the Dark Side. In some ways, those hopes were realized. I liked how Jessica grew into her role as a leader, but I wanted to smack her in the face a few times for being monumentally stupid.
Antanasia trying to find her place as wife, princess and vampire in the drafty halls of an ancient castle in Romania. An emotionally engaging closer that fumbles in its final moments. Korean-American Lara Jean is finally settled into a nice, complication-free relationship with her white boyfriend, Peter. The whirlwind of a wedding, college visits, prom, and the last few months of senior year provides an excellent backdrop for this final book about Lara Jean. The characters ping from event to event with emotions always at the forefront.
Han further develops her cast, pushing them to new maturity and leaving few stones unturned. This knowing subversion is frustratingly absent from the novel’s denouement. Many teen novels touch on similar themes, but few do it so memorably. Two struggling teens develop an unlikely relationship in a moving exploration of grief, suicide and young love. Violet, a writer and member of the popular crowd, has withdrawn from her friends and from school activities since her sister died in a car accident nine months earlier.
Finch, known to his classmates as “Theodore Freak,” is famously impulsive and eccentric. Following their meeting in the school bell tower, Finch makes it his mission to re-engage Violet with the world, partially through a school project that sends them to offbeat Indiana landmarks and partially through simple persistence. Violet and Finch live, fortunately for all involved, in the sort of romantic universe where his throwing rocks at her window in the middle of the night comes off more charming than stalker-esque.
